Cavity Wall Insulation Installer (Supervisor & Operative Required)

Encon, a leading Building, Retrofit & Renewables Contractor in Ireland, continues to expand its delivery of high-quality retrofit and energy efficiency projects across the South and South East Regions. As part of this growth, Encon is seeking a Cavity Wall Insulation Installer to support domestic retrofit and energy upgrade programmes across multiple schemes and standards.

This role plays a key part in delivering energy efficiency improvements to residential properties while supporting national sustainability and climate action objectives.

Role Overview

The Cavity Wall Insulation Installer is a site-based supervisory role responsible for the safe and effective installation of cavity wall insulation systems in domestic properties. The role includes overseeing a small installation team while ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with NSAI Agrément certification, SEAI technical standards, and all relevant health and safety regulations.

This position involves on-site installation, cavity assessment, quality control, team coordination, and interaction with customers, while working closely with internal teams to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out pre-installation and post-installation checks and assessments
  • Ensure all works are completed in line with NSAI Agrément and SEAI requirements
  • Operate insulation equipment and tools safely
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment on all job sites
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members
  • Complete job documentation, including photos and reports where required

Requirements

  • Full clean driving licence (essential)
  • Valid Safe Pass (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Manual Handling certification (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Previous experience in insulation or construction (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Physically fit and comfortable working on-site
  • Good level of written and spoken English
